How do I find out about special Power Yoga workshops, retreats and boot camps?

What do I wear to a Yoga class?

Comfortable, light clothing that allows for movement such as t-shirts, shorts, tank tops or Yoga pants are recommended.

Can I attend classes if I am a beginner?

Yes. Our classes have students of all levels and our instructors offer modifications for most poses.

Will class be challenging for me?

Yes. Regardless of your Yoga experience and fitness capability, Yoga Style Fitness classes will challenge you.

How often should I take Yoga classes?

For good results, we encourage a minimum practice of three times a week. For changes that will transform your life, we recommend four to seven times a week.

I heard that the temperature in the room for Power Vinyasa Yoga is above 72 degrees. Is this true?

Yes. Our room is heated to 78-83 degrees. The heat warms muscles and helps them to stretch more and work optimally within a greater range of motion. Over time, this will help build strength, balance and flexibility. Take several classes to get used to being in a warm room of this nature

What is Power Vinyasa Yoga?

We teach Power Vinyasa Yoga in all levels of our classes. Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a flowing sequence of Yoga postures linked together by breath. Our classes will help you build grace, poise, strength, balance, flexibility and endurance. Power Vinyasa Yoga is appropriate for most fitness levels and is fun! We offer modifications for each pose so that you can adjust for your level of flexibility and fitness. There is never competition in class. Each student is encouraged to work at his or her own level.

Can I get private lessons?

Yes. Getting to work privately with a teacher is often the best way to begin learning Yoga. It can help the beginner learn specific poses and proper alignment. Private lessons, or “privates” as we call them, can also help to safely take the more seasoned practitioner into advanced poses. Yoga privates are excellent for students who want to learn special poses to help heal injuries.

Privates are great for beginners!

Please remember that private sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance or you will be charged for the lesson.

Can I hire you to teach Yoga for special occasions or parties?

Yes. Yoga Style Fitness also offers private group Yoga classes for special occasions such as birthday celebrations, bridal showers, and office parties. Our instructors will work with you to tailor the theme of the Yoga class specifically for your group. Check out our Yoga Parties page for more information.
